2025 Festival Schedule

January


❶ Flower & Coffee Fair (Boquete, Chiriqui Province) ~ January 8-19  

Boquete bursts into bloom with vibrant flowers and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. This iconic fair blends natural beauty with Panama's rich coffee culture.

❷ San Sebastián de Ocú Fair (Ocú, Herrera Province) ~ January 15-20  

A lively celebration of Ocú's patron saint, this fair features traditional music, dancing, and vibrant cultural displays.

❸ Pixvae Beach Ecotourism Fair (Coiba, Veraguas Province) ~ January 16-18  

Discover the natural wonders of Coiba with eco-tours, local crafts, and environmental workshops at this beachside festival.

❹ La Chorrera Fair (La Chorrera, Panamá Oeste Province) ~ January 24-February 4  

Celebrate La Chorrera’s cultural heritage with food, music, and a bustling artisan market at this popular event.  

❺ La Candelaria Fair (Bugaba, Chiriquí Province) ~ January 24-February 2  

A religious and cultural festivity, this fair honors the Virgin of Candelaria with colorful processions and lively celebrations.

❻ Watermelon Fair (Guararé, Los Santos Province) ~ January 24-26  

A juicy celebration of Panama’s favorite fruit, featuring contests, live music, and plenty of watermelon-themed fun.  

❼ Orange Fair (Churuquita Grande, Coclé Province) ~ January 29-February 3  

Enjoy the sweet citrusy goodness of fresh oranges along with cultural exhibits, local crafts, and entertainment.

❽ Santa Fe Fair (Santa Fe, Veraguas Province) ~ January 30  

A one-day showcase of Santa Fe’s natural beauty, agriculture, and artisan traditions.

❾ Panama Crossroads Festival (Panama City) ~ January 30-February 1

This multicultural festival in Panama City facilitates connections through music, dance, diverse cuisine, and art, celebrating Panama's unifying legacy.

❶ Copé Fair (La Pintada, Coclé Province) ~ February 13-17  

This fair highlights Coclé’s vibrant culture, featuring folkloric presentations and local delicacies.

❷ Buffalo Fair (Penonomé, Coclé Province) ~ February 20-23  

An homage to the mighty buffalo, this fair features livestock exhibitions, rodeos, and live entertainment.

❸ Citrus & Coffee Fair (Chitra, Calobre) ~ February 28-March 2  

Celebrate the region's citrus and coffee harvests with tastings, craft stalls, and cultural performances.

❹ Carnival (Panama City & Las Tablas, Los Santos Province) ~ February 28-March 6

Panama's largest yearly celebration features parades, music, dancing, and water-soaked revelry, with major festivities in Panama City and the Azuero Peninsula, especially Las Tablas. March 4 is the official holiday known as "Carnevale Tuesday."

❸ San José de David International Fair (Chiriquí, Chiriqui Province) ~ March 13-23

❻ Tonosí Valley Fair (Tonosí, Los Santos Province) ~ March 27-31

❺ Capira Agricultural Fair (Capira, Panamá Oeste Province) ~ April 12-14  

A celebration of Capira’s agricultural industry with livestock displays, local crafts, and family-friendly activities.

❻ Azuero International Fair (Chitré, Los Santos Province) ~ April 24-May 4

A blend of tradition and innovation, this fair highlights the cultural richness of the Azuero Peninsula.

❼ Sortová Agro-Artisan & Folklore Festival (Bugaba, Chiriquí Province) ~ April 27  

A one-day celebration of Sortová’s agriculture, crafts, and folklore performances.

❽ Diablo Festival (Corpus Christi) (La Villa de Los Santos, Los Santos Province) ~ TBA (typically the end of May/beginning of June

 This vibrant event features traditional dances, including the "Diablicos Sucios," where performers don elaborate devil masks and costumes to symbolize the battle between good and evil. The festival typically begins with the "Diablo Encuetao" ritual, marking the start of the festivities. While the exact dates for 2025 have not been announced, the festival usually takes place in late May or early June, aligning with the liturgical calendar.

❶ National Dairy Cattle Fair (Aguadulce, Coclé Province) ~ July 15-18  

This fair celebrates Panama’s dairy industry with livestock exhibitions, milking contests, and farm-to-table treats.

August


❶ Meat Fair (Volcán, Chiriquí Province) ~ August 15-17  

A carnivore’s paradise, this fair features barbecue competitions, butchery demos, and plenty of delicious local dishes.

❷ Strawberry Fair (Volcán, Chiriquí Province) ~ August 15-18

❸ Agricultural Day (Volcán, Chiriquí Province) ~ August 14

❶ Chiriquí Grande Fair (Bocas del Toro) ~ September 5-8  

This fair highlights the cultural and agricultural richness of Chiriquí Grande with traditional music and food.

❷ Sea Fair (Bocas del Toro) ~ September 12-21  

Celebrate the bounty of the sea with fresh seafood, water activities, and live performances in beautiful Bocas del Toro.

❸ Expo Flora (Penonomé, Coclé Province) ~ September 18-19  

A must-visit for plant lovers, this event features stunning floral displays and gardening tips.

October


❶ Agricultural, Crafts & Cultural Fair (Dolega, Chiriquí Province) ~ October 2-5  

A showcase of Dolega’s agricultural achievements, artisan crafts, and rich cultural heritage.

❷ Cocoa Expo (Carenero Island, Bocas del Toro) ~ October 4  

Dive into the world of chocolate with tastings, workshops, and the history of cocoa production in Panama.

❸ Desfile de las Carretas (Pedasí, Los Santos Province) ~ TBD (usually last week in October)

This vibrant festival celebrates the region's rich cultural heritage with decorated oxcarts, traditional music, folkloric dances, and the lively "loose bull" event. While the exact dates for 2025 have not been announced, the parade usually occurs during the last weekend of October.
